TimberLOK Installation Guide
Introducing the TimberLOK Rafter/Truss to Top Plate Installation Guide. The guide has been designed for use with the 6” TimberLOK structural wood screw when connecting rafters or trusses to the double top plate. This code-compliant connection eliminates the need for hurricane ties.
The installation guide provides the optimal 22 ½ degree angle every time:
- Place the screw in the guide. Make sure the tip does not protrude past the end and that it “clicks” into place.
- Hold the guide in place and align with the rafter or truss.
- Drive the fastener 1-1 ½” inches and then slide the guide to the left.
- Finish off the drive and sink the head into the top plate.
